NetBSD 1.4 does not have wchar.h, but everything needed by Amaya is
defined in stdlib.h. So add a wchar.h test to configure, and protect
inclusion of wchar.h by HAVE_WCHAR_H.
Solves PR 12358.

gimp-print to not use those bits anyway. This sidesteps that awfulness
in src/cups that potentially creates empty directories in /usr, then later
removes them if they're empty.

packages will use the old SunOS-4.1 binaries. Otherwise, default to
using the recently enabled Solaris-2.5.1 binaries which include more
modern releases.
|
|
The old behaviour of using the sunos-4.1 binaries under compat_sunos can
be achieved by setting NS_USE_SUNOS.

PDFlib 4.0.3 is a free maintenance release for all customers with a 4.x

prerequisites to be updated.
|
|
- Honor PKG_SYSCONFDIR and use bsd.pkg.install.mk to handle config files
and rc.d scripts.
- Memory access fixes.
- Now '{', '}', '#' and ';' characters are not allowed for naming
rules and limits.
*** SECURITY UPDATE ***
Removed SUID bit from ipastat(8) due to security problems (and don't
even try to set it back). Admins who use the "db_owner" parameter
*and* use some safe user/group, *and* didn't forget to set the same
safe user/group for the ipastat(8) program, as it was said in the
SECURITY NOTE on the ipastat(8) manual page, should not worry a lot.
Admins who ignored that SECURITY NOTE should double check the security
of their systems and change all passwords, secrets keys, etc. if you
think that somebody cracked your systems by ipastat(8).

UPDATE_TARGET is the recommended way of modifying the target to be used for
'make update'.

installs the binaries directly in /usr and places the manpages and example
files in the correct hier(7) locations. We don't register installation in
this case because the package database can't handle it. We deal with the
ssh config files and directories as follows:
NetBSD-1.5.* use /etc/ssh_config, /etc/sshd_config
NetBSD-1.6 use /etc/ssh/ssh_config, /etc/ssh/sshd_config
We also emit a warning in the MESSAGE file that /etc/ssh.conf and
/etc/sshd.conf should be renamed in order to keep using them. Lastly,
there is a new target "tarball" to generate a tarball of the installed
files that might be used to install quickly on many machines, though it
may be only of limited utility.
These changes are only active if UPDATE_INTREE_OPENSSH is defined.
