2001-06-20Whitespace chnages, and include bsd.buildlink.mk(!) missed in last commit.jlam1-6/+8
2001-06-11Use bsd.buildlink.mk instead of duplicating code all over the place.jlam1-45/+10
2001-06-10Use cookies (.*_done) to determine whether headers and libs have beenjlam1-6/+12
linked from a particular package, and add a pre-configure target to the buildlink.mk file to more painlessly use buildlink.mk files. A ${BUILDLINK_TARGETS} variable still exists in case a package _must_ define NO_CONFIGURE.
2001-05-28Add buildlink.mk file to link appropriate libraries and headers intojlam1-0/+59
${BUILDLINK_INCDIR} and ${BUILDLINK_LIBDIR}, to be used by other packages.
2001-04-26There is no dir entry in the distributed gdbm.info -- delete it afterjtb1-1/+4
extraction so that it gets rebuilt.
2001-04-18Add an INFO_FILES entry.jtb1-1/+2
2001-04-17+ move the distfile digest/checksum value from files/md5 to distinfoagc3-7/+6
+ move the patch digest/checksum values from files/patch-sum to distinfo + include distfile filesizes in distinfo
2001-02-16Update to new COMMENT style: COMMENT var in Makefile instead of pkg/COMMENT.wiz2-2/+2
2001-01-18Don't force '-O'. Noted by Adam Ciarcinski.wiz2-4/+4
2001-01-04The way that shared objects were handled in the PLISTs and bsd.pkg.mk wasagc1-1/+3
out of date - it was based on a.out OBJECT_FMT, and added entries in the generated PLISTs to reflect the symlinks that ELF packages uses. It also tried to be clever, and removed and recreated any symbolic links that were created, which has resulted in some fun, especially with packages which use dlopen(3) to load modules. Some recent changes to our ld.so to bring it more into line with other Operating Systems also exposed some cracks. + Modify bsd.pkg.mk and its shared object handling, so that PLISTs now contain the ELF symlinks. + Don't mess about with file system entries when handling shared objects in bsd.pkg.mk, since it's likely that libtool and the BSD *.mk processing will have got it right, and have a much better idea than we do. + Modify PLISTs to contain "ELF symlinks" + On a.out platforms, delete any "ELF symlinks" from the generated PLISTs + On ELF platforms, no extra processing needs to be done in bsd.pkg.mk + Modify print-PLIST target in bsd.pkg.mk to add dummy symlink entries on a.out platforms + Update the documentation in Packages.txt With many thanks to Thomas Klausner for keeping me honest with this.
2000-12-11Honor CFLAGS passed in from environment during build.jlam2-6/+11

If anywhere, it should be the value of MAINTAINER in the Makefile. Some minor cleanup/reformatting while I'm here.
2000-06-15Fix the LTCONFIG_OVERRIDE definition.skrll1-2/+2

2000-06-08USE_LIBTOOL, not pkglibtooljlam2-4/+5
2000-06-01s/USE_LIBTOOL/USE_PKGLIBTOOL/rh1-2/+2
Add a new USE_LIBTOOL definition that uses the libtool package instead of pkglibtool which is now considered outdated. USE_PKGLIBTOOL is available for backwards compatibility with old packages but is deprecated for new packages.

1998-08-20The Grand Homepagification:tsarna1-1/+2
- New, optional Makefile variable HOMEPAGE, specifies a URL for the home page of the software if it has one. - The value of HOMEPAGE is used to add a link from the README.html files. - pkglint updated to know about it. The "correct" location for HOMEPAGE in the Makefile is after MAINTAINER, in that same section.

1998-06-10Remove the trailing '-f' from MAKE_FLAGS in bsd.pkg.mk, and include itagc1-2/+2
explicitly in the commands before ${MAKEFILE}; modify package Makefiles to conform to this rationalisation. This was used inconsistently in many packages, some including it, some not.
