2010-06-13Bump PKGREVISION for libpng shlib name change.wiz2-4/+4
Also add some patches to remove use of deprecated symbols and fix other problems when looking for or compiling against libpng-1.4.x.

2009-03-20Simply and speed up buildlink3.mk files and processing.joerg1-13/+6
This changes the buildlink3.mk files to use an include guard for the recursive include. The use of BUILDLINK_DEPTH, BUILDLINK_DEPENDS, BUILDLINK_PACKAGES and BUILDLINK_ORDER is handled by a single new variable BUILDLINK_TREE. Each buildlink3.mk file adds a pair of enter/exit marker, which can be used to reconstruct the tree and to determine first level includes. Avoiding := for large variables (BUILDLINK_ORDER) speeds up parse time as += has linear complexity. The include guard reduces system time by avoiding reading files over and over again. For complex packages this reduces both %user and %sys time to half of the former time.

2006-07-08Change the format of BUILDLINK_ORDER to contain depth information as well,jlam1-2/+2
and add a new helper target and script, "show-buildlink3", that outputs a listing of the buildlink3.mk files included as well as the depth at which they are included. For example, "make show-buildlink3" in fonts/Xft2 displays: zlib fontconfig iconv zlib freetype2 expat freetype2 Xrender renderproto
2006-07-08Track information in a new variable BUILDLINK_ORDER that informs usjlam1-1/+2
of the order in which buildlink3.mk files are (recursively) included by a package Makefile.
2006-07-07LIBTOOL_OVERRIDE generally doesn't need to be specified anymore... justjlam1-2/+2
set OVERRIDE_DIRDEPTH to find any libtool scripts deeper in the WRKSRC tree unless they're named something other than "libtool". SHLIBTOOL_OVERRIDE generally doesn't need to be specified either -- just define it to the empty list and shlibtool-override will look for libtool scripts.

RECOMMENDED is removed. It becomes ABI_DEPENDS. BUILDLINK_RECOMMENDED.foo becomes BUILDLINK_ABI_DEPENDS.foo. BUILDLINK_DEPENDS.foo becomes BUILDLINK_API_DEPENDS.foo. BUILDLINK_DEPENDS does not change. IGNORE_RECOMMENDED (which defaulted to "no") becomes USE_ABI_DEPENDS which defaults to "yes". Added to obsolete.mk checking for IGNORE_RECOMMENDED. I did not manually go through and fix any aesthetic tab/spacing issues. I have tested the above patch on DragonFly building and packaging subversion and pkglint and their many dependencies. I have also tested USE_ABI_DEPENDS=no on my NetBSD workstation (where I have used IGNORE_RECOMMENDED for a long time). I have been an active user of IGNORE_RECOMMENDED since it was available. As suggested, I removed the documentation sentences suggesting bumping for "security" issues. As discussed on tech-pkg. I will commit to revbump, pkglint, pkg_install, createbuildlink separately. Note that if you use wip, it will fail! I will commit to pkgsrc-wip later (within day).
2006-02-05Recursive revision bump / recommended bump for gettext ABI change.joerg2-4/+4
2006-01-24Bump BUILDLINK_RECOMMENDED of textproc/expat to 2.0.0 becausewiz2-4/+4
of the shlib major bump. PKGREVISION++ for the dependencies.
2005-08-10Remove the abuse of buildlink that was pkg-config/buildlink3.mk. Thatjlam1-3/+2
file's sole purpose was to provide a dependency on pkg-config and set some environment variables. Instead, turn pkg-config into a "tool" in the tools framework, where the pkg-config wrapper automatically adds PKG_CONFIG_LIBDIR to the environment before invoking the real pkg-config. For all package Makefiles that included pkg-config/buildlink3.mk, remove that inclusion and replace it with USE_TOOLS+=pkg-config.
2005-07-21Change path from devel/pkgconfig to devel/pkg-config.wiz1-2/+2
No PKGREVISION bump since pkg-config is only a BUILD_DEPENDS.
2005-04-11Remove USE_BUILDLINK3 and NO_BUILDLINK; these are no longer used.tv1-2/+1

2004-10-03Libtool fix for PR pkg/26633, and other issues. Update libtool to 1.5.10tv2-3/+4
in the process. (More information on tech-pkg.) Bump PKGREVISION and BUILDLINK_DEPENDS of all packages using libtool and installing .la files. Bump PKGREVISION (only) of all packages depending directly on the above via a buildlink3 include.
2004-09-22Mechanical changes to package PLISTs to make use of LIBTOOLIZE_PLIST.jlam1-23/+1
All library names listed by *.la files no longer need to be listed in the PLIST, e.g., instead of: lib/libfoo.a lib/libfoo.la lib/libfoo.so lib/libfoo.so.0 lib/libfoo.so.0.1 one simply needs: lib/libfoo.la and bsd.pkg.mk will automatically ensure that the additional library names are listed in the installed package +CONTENTS file. Also make LIBTOOLIZE_PLIST default to "yes".

2004-04-15Add bl3 file.wiz1-0/+20
2004-04-15Convert to bl3.wiz1-4/+4
2004-03-15Fix PLIST problems. This package uses libtool -release M.N to add ajlam1-3/+1
version number to the library, so it doesn't create certain symlinks for the shared libraries.
2004-02-14PKGCONFIG_OVERRIDE is relative to WRKSRC.jmmv1-4/+4
2004-02-14LIBTOOL_OVERRIDE and SHLIBTOOL_OVERRIDE are now lists of shell globsjlam1-3/+2
relative to ${WRKSRC}. Remove redundant LIBTOOL_OVERRIDE settings that are automatically handled by the default setting in bsd.pkg.mk.
2004-01-03Bump package revisions for tiff update.reed2-3/+4
Tiff is backward compatible, but was broken on amd64 platform so this makes sure new tiff is used.
2003-12-27Initial import of blib-1.0.2: Blinkenlights librarysalo7-0/+216
blib library contains code that you will find useful if you want to create any kind of software related to Blinkenlights. There is a code to read and write the old-style BLM movie format as well as code to handle GIF files and the new Blinkenlights Markup Language. Both sides of the Blinkenlights network protocol are implemented so that you don't have to care about the details. Greetings from 20c3, 20th Chaos Communication Congress in Berlin, where the real Blinkenlights are running at this very moment on the Haus des Lehrers, next to the congress building ;) (http://www.blinkenlights.de/).
