2012-10-31Drop superfluous PKG_DESTDIR_SUPPORT, "user-destdir" is default these days.asau1-3/+1
2010-02-11update to 5.5.2drochner4-20/+53
changes: -Added the dmalloc_get_stats() function to report on internal heap statistics -Added file/line number reporting for the function argument checking features. WARNING: this requires a recompilation of all code compiled with -DDMALLOC_FUNC_CHECK -misc fixes and improvements
2009-12-09Not MAKE_JOBS_SAFE as it removes a header during rebuild to recreate it.joerg1-1/+3
2009-03-20Simply and speed up buildlink3.mk files and processing.joerg1-13/+6
This changes the buildlink3.mk files to use an include guard for the recursive include. The use of BUILDLINK_DEPTH, BUILDLINK_DEPENDS, BUILDLINK_PACKAGES and BUILDLINK_ORDER is handled by a single new variable BUILDLINK_TREE. Each buildlink3.mk file adds a pair of enter/exit marker, which can be used to reconstruct the tree and to determine first level includes. Avoiding := for large variables (BUILDLINK_ORDER) speeds up parse time as += has linear complexity. The include guard reduces system time by avoiding reading files over and over again. For complex packages this reduces both %user and %sys time to half of the former time.
2008-05-23Add DESTDIR support.joerg1-2/+6
2006-10-04Update MASTER_SITES and/or HOMEPAGE, from Sergey Svishchev.wiz1-2/+2
2006-07-08Change the format of BUILDLINK_ORDER to contain depth information as well,jlam1-2/+2
and add a new helper target and script, "show-buildlink3", that outputs a listing of the buildlink3.mk files included as well as the depth at which they are included. For example, "make show-buildlink3" in fonts/Xft2 displays: zlib fontconfig iconv zlib freetype2 expat freetype2 Xrender renderproto
2006-07-08Track information in a new variable BUILDLINK_ORDER that informs usjlam1-1/+2
of the order in which buildlink3.mk files are (recursively) included by a package Makefile.
2006-04-12Aligned the last line of the buildlink3.mk files with the first line, sorillig1-2/+2
that they look nicer.
2006-04-06Over 1200 files touched but no revisions bumped :)reed1-2/+2
RECOMMENDED is removed. It becomes ABI_DEPENDS. BUILDLINK_RECOMMENDED.foo becomes BUILDLINK_ABI_DEPENDS.foo. BUILDLINK_DEPENDS.foo becomes BUILDLINK_API_DEPENDS.foo. BUILDLINK_DEPENDS does not change. IGNORE_RECOMMENDED (which defaulted to "no") becomes USE_ABI_DEPENDS which defaults to "yes". Added to obsolete.mk checking for IGNORE_RECOMMENDED. I did not manually go through and fix any aesthetic tab/spacing issues. I have tested the above patch on DragonFly building and packaging subversion and pkglint and their many dependencies. I have also tested USE_ABI_DEPENDS=no on my NetBSD workstation (where I have used IGNORE_RECOMMENDED for a long time). I have been an active user of IGNORE_RECOMMENDED since it was available. As suggested, I removed the documentation sentences suggesting bumping for "security" issues. As discussed on tech-pkg. I will commit to revbump, pkglint, pkg_install, createbuildlink separately. Note that if you use wip, it will fail! I will commit to pkgsrc-wip later (within day).
2006-03-20* Nuke all references to and definitions of INFO_DIR in package Makefilesjlam2-6/+10
and replace with appropriate references to PKGINFODIR instead. * Properly account for split info files during installation. * Move info file listings directly into the package PLISTs. This fixes info-file-related PLIST problems.
2006-03-04Point MAINTAINER to pkgsrc-users@NetBSD.org in the case where nojlam1-2/+2
developer is officially maintaining the package. The rationale for changing this from "tech-pkg" to "pkgsrc-users" is that it implies that any user can try to maintain the package (by submitting patches to the mailing list). Since the folks most likely to care about the package are the folks that want to use it or are already using it, this would leverage the energy of users who aren't developers.
2006-03-02update to 5.4.2drochner2-6/+6
changes: Switched to using mmap as the internal allocation function Improved the logging of error information about pointers Added return.h support for ia64 and ARM processors Added compat and arg_checking of atoi, atol, and memmove Added backwards compatibility for %d usage in logfile name Removed force-linear token -bugfixes
2005-04-11Remove USE_BUILDLINK3 and NO_BUILDLINK; these are no longer used.tv1-2/+1
2005-04-01Pre-create info directory. I noticed my pkg/info was the dmalloc.inforeed1-2/+3
file. Also use INFO_DIR instead of info (since this uses INFO_FILES).
2005-02-23Add RMD160 digests.agc1-1/+2
2004-04-27Convert to buildlink3.snj3-28/+22

2003-07-15update to 5.2.1drochner5-10/+72
most notable changes: * Added -M --memory-limit argument to dmalloc to limit allocations. * Due to public pressure, I've made free(0L) not an error by default. -some new format specifiers for logfile expansion -bugfixes pkgsrc: -build and install thread support (not tested with GNU pth so far) -arrgh - need a patch so that libraries are not stripped on install
2003-06-23Convert to USE_NEW_TEXINFO.seb2-5/+3
2003-06-02Use tech-pkg@ in favor of packages@ as MAINTAINER for orphaned packages.jschauma1-2/+2
Should anybody feel like they could be the maintainer for any of thewe packages, please adjust.
2002-10-21Add buildlink2.mk.wiz1-0/+24
2002-05-12add -fPIC -DPIC to CFLAGS. Needed to make the shared lib work on sparc (and ↵dmcmahill1-2/+3
probably others)
2002-05-11enable building of the shared lib version as well as the static version.dmcmahill2-2/+6
bump PKGREVISION.
2002-02-18Introduce new framework for handling info files generation and installation.seb2-4/+5
Summary of changes: - removal of USE_GTEXINFO - addition of mk/texinfo.mk - inclusion of this file in package Makefiles requiring it - `install-info' substituted by `${INSTALL_INFO}' in PLISTs - tuning of mk/bsd.pkg.mk: removal of USE_GTEXINFO INSTALL_INFO added to PLIST_SUBST `${INSTALL_INFO}' replace `install-info' in target rules print-PLIST target now generate `${INSTALL_INFO}' instead of `install-info' - a couple of new patch files added for a handful of packages - setting of the TEXINFO_OVERRIDE "switch" in packages Makefiles requiring it - devel/cssc marked requiring texinfo 4.0 - a couple of packages Makefiles were tuned with respect of INFO_FILES and makeinfo command usage See -newly added by this commit- section 10.24 of Packages.txt for further information.
