2005-06-16Create directories before installing files into them.jlam1-1/+3
2005-06-12Don't prevent this package from building/installing even if getopt_longjlam1-5/+1
is already provided by the system natively. There is no reason to prevent its installation.
2005-06-05In builtin.mk files, use _BLTN_ as the private namespace prefix.jlam1-4/+4
2005-06-01Massive cleanup of buildlink3.mk and builtin.mk files in pkgsrc.jlam1-12/+53
Several changes are involved since they are all interrelated. These changes affect about 1000 files. The first major change is rewriting bsd.builtin.mk as well as all of the builtin.mk files to follow the new example in bsd.builtin.mk. The loop to include all of the builtin.mk files needed by the package is moved from bsd.builtin.mk and into bsd.buildlink3.mk. bsd.builtin.mk is now included by each of the individual builtin.mk files and provides some common logic for all of the builtin.mk files. Currently, this includes the computation for whether the native or pkgsrc version of the package is preferred. This causes USE_BUILTIN.* to be correctly set when one builtin.mk file includes another. The second major change is teach the builtin.mk files to consider files under ${LOCALBASE} to be from pkgsrc-controlled packages. Most of the builtin.mk files test for the presence of built-in software by checking for the existence of certain files, e.g. <pthread.h>, and we now assume that if that file is under ${LOCALBASE}, then it must be from pkgsrc. This modification is a nod toward LOCALBASE=/usr. The exceptions to this new check are the X11 distribution packages, which are handled specially as noted below. The third major change is providing builtin.mk and version.mk files for each of the X11 distribution packages in pkgsrc. The builtin.mk file can detect whether the native X11 distribution is the same as the one provided by pkgsrc, and the version.mk file computes the version of the X11 distribution package, whether it's built-in or not. The fourth major change is that the buildlink3.mk files for X11 packages that install parts which are part of X11 distribution packages, e.g. Xpm, Xcursor, etc., now use imake to query the X11 distribution for whether the software is already provided by the X11 distribution. This is more accurate than grepping for a symbol name in the imake config files. Using imake required sprinkling various builtin-imake.mk helper files into pkgsrc directories. These files are used as input to imake since imake can't use stdin for that purpose. The fifth major change is in how packages note that they use X11. Instead of setting USE_X11, package Makefiles should now include x11.buildlink3.mk instead. This causes the X11 package buildlink3 and builtin logic to be executed at the correct place for buildlink3.mk and builtin.mk files that previously set USE_X11, and fixes packages that relied on buildlink3.mk files to implicitly note that X11 is needed. Package buildlink3.mk should also include x11.buildlink3.mk when linking against the package libraries requires also linking against the X11 libraries. Where it was obvious, redundant inclusions of x11.buildlink3.mk have been removed.

2005-03-10Nitpick from Roland Illig <roland.illig@gmx.de>: Use "progname" rathertv2-9/+11
than "__progname" (just in case), and set it also in getopt_long(3).
2005-03-101.4 - overhaul:tv9-675/+800
- pull sources directly into pkgsrc - do not depend on namespace.h, <sys/cdefs.h> (de-__P()ify), or <err.h> - use libtool for better portability in shlib creation The resultant library is still ABI compatible with prior versions and should have the same shlib major version number. Thanks to Roland Illig <roland.illig@gmx.de> for help in getting this working properly on Solaris.

2005-02-11Interix fix: optreset exists, but <unistd.h> tries to pretend it doesn't.tv2-2/+8
2004-12-12Fix build on IRIX 5 whichhas a nonstandard /usr/include/getopt.h.recht1-4/+4

2004-05-17Garbage collect BUILDLINK_PKGBASE.<pkg> from buildlink3: it is not anymoreseb1-2/+1
used since revision 1.139 of mk/buildlink3/bsd.buildlink3.mk.

2004-03-29Match the template builtin.mk file in bsd.builtin.mk, and make the twojlam1-7/+7
packages that use builtin.mk files (graphics/xpm and pkgtools/x11-links) use the new format correctly.
2004-03-29Add a BUILDLINK_PKGBASE.<pkg> definition where it's not equal to <pkg>,jlam1-1/+2
e.g. "BUILDLINK_PKGBASE.gtk?= gtk+". This is mandated by the example buildlink[23].mk files in bsd.buildlink[23].mk.
2004-03-16If the ${PKGBASE} of a package doesn't match the token passed tojlam1-1/+2
BUILDLINK_PACKAGES, then set BUILDLINK_PKGBASE.<pkg> explicitly so that we can map from <pkg> to BUILDLINK_PKGBASE.<pkg>.
2004-03-10Split out the code that deals with checking whether the software isjlam2-45/+37
built-in or not into a separate builtin.mk file. The code to deal checking for built-in software is much simpler to deal with in pkgsrc. The buildlink3.mk file for a package will be of the usual format regardless of the package, which makes it simpler for packagers to update a package. The builtin.mk file for a package must define a single yes/no variable USE_BUILTIN.<pkg> that is used by bsd.buildlink3.mk to decide whether to use the built-in software or to use the pkgsrc software.
2004-01-24Support BUILDLINK_DEPENDS.<pkg> being a list of values.jlam1-2/+2
2004-01-20Move WRKSRC definition away from the first paragraph in a Makefile.agc1-2/+3
2004-01-05Use S/+$// instead of C/\+$// to save a backslash. Very highlyjlam1-2/+2

2002-08-25Merge changes in packages from the buildlink2 branch that havejlam1-0/+36
buildlink2.mk files back into the main trunk.
2001-11-01Move pkg/ files into package's toplevel directoryzuntum2-1/+1
2001-08-20Don't automatically add -lgetopt to LIBS, as we usually only want -lgetoptjlam1-5/+12
to be linked into just the programs, not everything being linked including libraries. Also some changes to set _NEED_GETOPT instead of a direct check for /usr/include/getopt.h.
2001-07-29- Don't mirror distfile which is already on "ftp.netbsd.org".tron1-2/+4
- pkglint: remove whitespace and end of line.
2001-07-27Add dir_DEFAULT setting used by EVAL_PREFIX logic to set the defaultjlam1-1/+2
installation directory in case the package isn't installed.
2001-07-23Make this package work under Solaris 8.wiz2-5/+22
Patches provided by Stoned Elipot <Stoned.Elipot@script.jussieu.fr> in private mail. Addresses pkg/13017.
2001-07-20Mechanical changes to buildlink.mk files to use EVAL_PREFIX to setjlam1-2/+2
BUILDLINK_PREFIX.<pkgname>. This allows buildlink to find X11BASE packages regardless of whether they were installed before or after xpkgwedge was installed. Idea by Alistair Crooks <agc@pkgsrc.org>.
2001-07-01Move inclusion of bsd.buildlink.mk to start of file.jlam1-3/+3
2001-06-23Generalize how the dependency pattern may be specified. Instead of justjlam1-2/+4
FOO_REQD=1.0 being converted to foo>=1.0, one can now directly specify the dependency pattern as FOO_DEPENDS=foo>=1.0. This allows things like JPEG_DEPENDS=jpeg-6b, or fancier expressions like for postgresql-lib. Change existing FOO_REQD definitions in Makefiles to FOO_DEPENDS.
2001-06-18LIBS is automatically added to CONFIGURE_ENV if GNU_CONFIGURE is defined.jlam1-2/+1
2001-06-11Use bsd.buildlink.mk instead of duplicating code all over the place.jlam1-50/+18
2001-06-10Use cookies (.*_done) to determine whether headers and libs have beenjlam1-6/+12
linked from a particular package, and add a pre-configure target to the buildlink.mk file to more painlessly use buildlink.mk files. A ${BUILDLINK_TARGETS} variable still exists in case a package _must_ define NO_CONFIGURE.
2001-05-26Protect against multiple inclusion.jlam1-1/+6
2001-05-25No functional changes, only slight recoding to make it easier to cut-and-jlam1-8/+11
paste into new buildlink.mk files.
2001-05-24Add a link-getopt-libs target to link libgetopt* into ${BUILDLINK_LIBDIR},jlam1-2/+22
and add link-getopt-libs to BUILDLINK_TARGETS.
2001-05-24Make instructions for use more explicit, and correct a typo in thejlam1-6/+9
comments (WRKSRC should be WRKDIR).
2001-05-24Standardize name of file to include for build-links to be "buildlink.mk".jlam2-34/+36
Use BUILDLINK_INCDIR, BUILDLINK_LIBDIR for locations of linked headers and libraries. Create a variable BUILDLINK_TARGETS whose value is the list of build-link targets to execute.
2001-05-22Tell the user when we're linking getopt headers, and conditionally addjlam1-7/+8
-lgetopt to LIBS if GNU_CONFIGURE is defined.
2001-05-16Tidy up the comments.jlam1-2/+5
2001-05-15Move this file from databases/postgresql/Makefile.getopt to be usable byjlam1-0/+30
more packages.
2001-04-21Move to sha1 digests, and/or add distfile sizes.wiz1-3/+5
