2006-05-22Move the check-shlibs target from bsd.pkg.mk to bsd.pkg.check.mk wherejlam1-2/+2
it will live with other "check" targets run after package installation. Get rid of SHLIB_HANDLING, whose meaning had mutated over the years from one thing to another. Currently, it is used to basically note whether the system's "ldd" command can be usefully run on the package's binaries and libraries. Rename this variable to CHECK_SHLIBS_SUPPORTED for more clarity. CHECK_SHLIBS is now a variable set exclusively by the user in /etc/mk.conf to note whether the check for missing run-time search paths is performed after a package is installed. It defaults to "no" unless PKG_DEVELOPER is set.
2006-03-14Modify the pkginstall framework so that it manages all aspects ofjlam1-3/+1
INSTALL/DEINSTALL script creation within pkgsrc. If an INSTALL or DEINSTALL script is found in the package directory, it is automatically used as a template for the pkginstall-generated scripts. If instead, they should be used simply as the full scripts, then the package Makefile should set INSTALL_SRC or DEINSTALL_SRC explicitly, e.g.: INSTALL_SRC= ${PKGDIR}/INSTALL DEINSTALL_SRC= # emtpy As part of the restructuring of the pkginstall framework internals, we now *always* generate temporary INSTALL or DEINSTALL scripts. By comparing these temporary scripts with minimal INSTALL/DEINSTALL scripts formed from only the base templates, we determine whether or not the INSTALL/DEINSTALL scripts are actually needed by the package (see the generate-install-scripts target in bsd.pkginstall.mk). In addition, more variables in the framework have been made private. The *_EXTRA_TMPL variables have been renamed to *_TEMPLATE, which are more sensible names given the very few exported variables in this framework. The only public variables relating to the templates are: INSTALL_SRC INSTALL_TEMPLATE DEINSTALL_SRC DEINSTALL_TEMPLATE HEADER_TEMPLATE The packages in pkgsrc have been modified to reflect the changes in the pkginstall framework.
2006-03-04Point MAINTAINER to pkgsrc-users@NetBSD.org in the case where nojlam1-2/+2
developer is officially maintaining the package. The rationale for changing this from "tech-pkg" to "pkgsrc-users" is that it implies that any user can try to maintain the package (by submitting patches to the mailing list). Since the folks most likely to care about the package are the folks that want to use it or are already using it, this would leverage the energy of users who aren't developers.
2005-12-29Remove USE_PKGINSTALL from pkgsrc now that mk/install/pkginstall.mkjlam1-2/+1
automatically detects whether we want the pkginstall machinery to be used by the package Makefile.
2005-12-05Fixed pkglint warnings. The warnings are mostly quoting issues, forrillig1-7/+7
example MAKE_ENV+=FOO=${BAR} is changed to MAKE_ENV+=FOO=${BAR:Q}. Some other changes are outlined in http://mail-index.netbsd.org/tech-pkg/2005/12/02/0034.html
2005-09-28Replaced "# defined" with "yes" in Makefile variables like GNU_CONFIGURE,rillig1-3/+3
NO_BUILD, USE_LIBTOOL.
2005-05-25Add RMD160 checksum.wiz1-1/+3
2005-04-15Prevent warnings during bulk dependency tree creation for ports thatkristerw1-2/+2
cannot use these packages.
2005-02-27Bumpd the PKGREVISION for the following packages:veego1-1/+2
emulators/compat13 emulators/compat14 emulators/compat14-crypto emulators/twin lang/blackdown-jdk13 multimedia/transcode because of a broken PLIST_SRC handling introduced in mk/bsd.pkg.mk rev 1.1593 and fixed in rev 1.1596. compat13 was bumped to nb2 so we don't have different package version on different archs (alpha had an nb1 before but all other had no PKGREVISION).
2005-02-21Use the extended PLIST_SRC support which now also reads:veego1-6/+1
PLIST.${MACHINE_ARCH:C/i[3-6]86/i386/g} PLIST.${OPSYS}-${MACHINE_ARCH:C/i[3-6]86/i386/g} and remove the package hack for MD PLIST files.
2003-12-15whitespace police.grant1-3/+3
2003-08-30Add definitions for DEINSTALL_EXTRA_TMPL and INSTALL_EXTRA_TMPL ifjlam1-1/+3
USE_PKGINSTALL is "YES". bsd.pkg.install.mk will no longer automatically pick up a INSTALL/DEINSTALL script in the package directory and assume that you want it for the corresponding *_EXTRA_TMPL variable.
2003-08-30Convert to use bsd.pkg.install.mk.jlam3-52/+19
2003-07-17s/netbsd.org/NetBSD.org/grant1-3/+3
2003-06-02Use tech-pkg@ in favor of packages@ as MAINTAINER for orphaned packages.jschauma1-2/+2
Should anybody feel like they could be the maintainer for any of thewe packages, please adjust.
2002-08-13Add compat14-crypto package - compat14 plus the crypto-enabledjdarrow7-0/+237
"domestic" set libraries. From emulators/compat14 update log: Update package to 1.4.3.1 (netbsd-1-4 as of 2002-06-28, plus patch to lib/libc/rpc/xdr_array.c). Includes libc security fixes for SA2002-006 and SA2002-011 (and probably other bugs found since 1.4.3).
