[11/07/05 21:14] Kajaani Kombat 0.7 released! Summer, beer and new Kajaani Kombat, what more could you hope for. Version 0.7 is finally here. 0.7 features new kredit system, major bug fix and more balanced big cannons. ChangeLog: 0.6.6.6 -> 0.7 -Fixed server using too much cpu (problems with threads). -New kredit-system, also building walls takes kredits. -Big cannon ammo are better now. ps. Graphics help is still needed [08/02/05 21:15] Kajaani Kombat 0.6.6.6 released! Version 0.6.6.6 is here. Grab it while it's fresh and tasty. The rationale for changing this from "tech-pkg" to "pkgsrc-users" is that it implies that any user can try to maintain the package (by submitting patches to the mailing list). Since the folks most likely to care about the package are the folks that want to use it or are already using it, this would leverage the energy of users who aren't developers.

Kajaani Kombat is a funny multiplayer game... and much more! It is a Rampart-like game (old arcade classic) set in space. Every player has a castle demarked by walls, and cannons to shoot at other player's castles. After the shooting phase there is a repair phase where one has to rebuild the walls such that one there is an area completely encased by walls (without holes). If one doesn't succeed with this, one loses. Kajaani Kombat is playable with two to four players, over the internet or alternatively two players sharing one computer. It is also possible to play over the internet with, for example, 4 players of which two are sharing the same computer. Enjoy it with your friends!
