2004-02-18Reorder some lines so that BUILDLINK_USE_BUILTIN.<pkg> set in thejlam1-16/+18
environment overrides all other settings.
2004-02-12Create a new variable PREFER_NATIVE that has the opposite semanticsjlam1-3/+13
as PREFER_PKGSRC. Preferences are determined by the most specific instance of the package in either PREFER_PKGSRC or PREFER_NATIVE. If a package is specified in neither or in both variables, then PREFER_PKGSRC has precedence over PREFER_NATIVE.
2004-02-12Reorganize code so that any dependencies are checked as part of decidingjlam1-28/+30
whether the software is built-in or not. This facilitates implementing the forthcoming PKGSRC_NATIVE variable.
2004-02-11Turn MESA_REQD back into a public variable, and make it take a list ofjlam2-4/+4
values that MesaLib/buildlink3.mk converts into a single _MESA_REQD that is the highest version required. If including the Mesa/buildlink3.mk file, then require the same version of Mesa as required by glut.
2004-02-10This package requires both a C and a C++ compiler.jlam1-1/+2
2004-02-10Require at least the same version of MesaLib to build.jlam1-1/+2
2004-02-10Require at least the version of Mesa that's installed by the base systemjlam1-1/+2
if it's used.

2004-02-10The pkgsrc version of Mesa that last bumped shlib majors was 6.0.jlam1-2/+2
2004-02-06If we're passing through MAKEFLAGS variables whose values may containjlam1-3/+3
spaces, use the :Q modifier instead of double-quoting the value. This avoids breakage when executing the just-in-time su targets.
2004-02-05Make PREFER_PKGSRC just yes/no or a list of packages. This makes itjlam1-5/+3
simpler to understand.
2004-02-05Rename BUILDLINK_PREFER_PKGSRC to PREFER_PKGSRC so that we can use itsjlam1-5/+4
value outside of buildlink-related files.
2004-02-05Support a new global variable:jlam1-1/+9
BUILDLINK_PREFER_PKGSRC This variable determines whether or not to prefer the pkgsrc versions of software that is also present in the base system. This variable is multi-state: defined, or "yes" always prefer the pkgsrc versions not defined, or "no" only use the pkgsrc versions if needed by dependency requirements This can also take a list of packages for which to prefer the pkgsrc-installed software. The package names may be found by consulting the value added to BUILDLINK_PACKAGES in the buildlink[23].mk files for that package.
2004-01-25version.mk no longer defines MESA_VERSION. Put the version number of thejlam1-4/+2
required package in its place. Thanks to Jan Schaumann for diagnosing the problem.
2004-01-24Support BUILDLINK_DEPENDS.<pkg> being a list of values.jlam1-5/+9
2004-01-24If we use the XFree86-supplied GL and GLU libraries, then we are using X11.jlam1-1/+2
2004-01-22Mesa-6.0 packages now use LIBTOOL and finally buildadam4-44/+14

2004-01-05Use S/+$// instead of C/\+$// to save a backslash. Very highlyjlam1-2/+2
recommended by seb :)
2004-01-05Sow BUILDLINK_USE_BUILTIN.<pkg> and reap _NEED_<PKG> variables.jlam1-18/+17
2004-01-04Re-arrange to match example buildlink3.mk file in bsd.buildlink3.mk.jlam1-5/+5
2003-11-30As pointed out by jlam: The shlib major for libGLU.so hasjschauma1-2/+2
gone from 2 to 4, so the BUILDLINK_DEPENDS.glu in glu/buildlink2.mk should be bumped to the latest version of the package.
2003-11-28As suggested by Ron Roskens in PR pkg/23489 (closing that PR):jschauma2-6/+6
use si-glu sources to build a libGLU that includes GLU Polygon Tessellator functions and use this new functionality in MesaDemos. Bump PKGREVISIONs.
2003-11-18Finally update Mesa and friends after the distfile changed on the websitejschauma4-7/+25
without a version bump. Changes made, according to the website, for libtool/autofoo fixes. Some changes from Ron Roskens: glut depends upon graphics/glu (otherwise its linked against X11R6 libs) MesaDemos: rather than using the pre-built distribution makefiles, use the automake/configure built makefiles which have the build dependencies all setup. This closes PR pkg/23476.
2003-11-09Patch Mesa's Makefile to use '-fno-strict-aliasing' rather than ↵jschauma3-2/+17
'-fstrict-aliasing', as the code contains unsafe use of aliased pointers. As suggested by tls@ in PR pkg/23381, closing said PR.
2003-09-30Match the buildlink3.mk guidelines set out in revision 1.22 ofjlam1-6/+5
bsd.buildlink3.mk.
2003-09-30Conform to latest buildlink3.mk guidelines using *_BUILDLINK3_MK guardsjlam1-10/+18
to protect more parts of buildlink3.mk files against multiple inclusion.
2003-09-29Update Mesa and friends to latest version 5.0.2:jschauma1-3/+3
- fixed texgen problem causing texcoord's Q to be zero (stex3d) - default GL_TEXTURE_COMPARE_MODE_ARB was wrong - GL_CURRENT_MATRIX_NV query was wrong - GL_CURRENT_MATRIX_STACK_DEPTH_NV query was off by one - GL_LIST_MODE query wasn't correct - GL_FOG_COORDINATE_SOURCE_EXT query wasn't supported - GL_SECONDARY_COLOR_ARRAY_SIZE_EXT query returned wrong value - blended, wide lines didn't always work correctly - glVertexAttrib4svNV w component was always 1 - fixed bug in GL_IBM_rasterpos_clip (missing return) - GL_DEPTH_TEXTURE_MODE = GL_ALPHA didn't work correctly - a few Solaris compilation fixes - fixed glClear() problem for DRI drivers (non-existant stencil, etc) - fixed int/REAL mixup in GLU NURBS curve evaluator (Eric Cazeaux) - fixed delete [] bug in SI GLU (bug 721765) (Diego Santa Cruz) - glFog() didn't clamp fog colors - fixed bad float/int conversion for GL_TEXTURE_PRIORITY in the gl[Get]TexParameteri[v] functions - fixed invalid memory references in glTexGen functions (bug 781602) - integer-valued color arrays weren't handled correctly - glDrawPixels(GL_DEPTH_COMPONENT) with glPixelZoom didn't work - GL_EXT_texture_lod_bias is part of 1.4, overlooked in 5.0.1 - build GLUT with -fexceptions so C++ apps propogate exceptions While here, fix PR pkg/23003 by moving the version number to version.mk and including that in the buildlink.
2003-09-28Rewrite buildlink3.mk files to match the updated buildlink3.mk templatejlam1-8/+9
in bsd.buildlink3.mk: the *_BUILDLINK3_MK multiple inclusion guards are removed and we ensure that things that should be defined only once really are defined only once by using section-specific or variable-specific guards.
2003-09-18Specify the category when including other files and when depending on otherjmmv1-2/+2
packages. From PR pkg/21864 by ccatrian at eml.cc.
2003-09-14Provide definitions for BUILDLINK_PREFIX.<pkg> when the dependency may bejlam1-1/+3
satisfied by a base system (X11R6) component.
2003-09-13Need to use :C instead of :S to get the "pop" action to work properly.jlam1-2/+2
2003-09-07buildlink3.mk file needed by x11-links.jlam1-0/+69
2003-08-26Finally remove support of Mesa 3.4.1 completely as discussed at lengthjschauma3-83/+5
on tech-pkg@ at various times. This means that regardless of what kind of GL support comes with X11, if a package depends on GL, Mesa 5.0.1 (or higher) will be installed into ${LOCALBASE}. Some troubleshooting after the latest patches by Krister Walfridsson.
2003-07-22Add missing checksum for 3.4.2 distfile.jschauma1-1/+3
2003-07-17s/netbsd.org/NetBSD.org/grant1-2/+2
2003-07-15Hopefully finally get this right:jschauma1-1/+3
Default Mesa Version should be 3.4.2, so that people who don't care and have GL in XF don't need to build the whole thing. If MESA_REQD is set to 5.0.1 (as, for example, by MesaDemos), require version 5.0.1 of MesaLib, gl* etc. If libGL.so.5 is found to be present on the system, force MESA_REQD to be 5.0.1 to avoid accidental downgrades if MESA_REQD was not specified before- hand. Changes reviewed by tron@ (thanks!).
2003-05-10update to 5.0.1drochner3-20/+5
mostly a bugfix release other changes: - updated GL/gl_mangle.h file - use glPolygonOffset in gloss demo to avoid z-fighting artifacts - updated winpos and pointblast demos to use ARB extensions - disable SPARC normal transformation code
2003-04-21Add RCS tagcjep1-0/+1
2003-03-24Add distinfo for and facilitate using of MESA_REQD=3.4.2;jschauma1-1/+3
2003-03-24Fix PR pkg/20685 by changing the if-statements to allow creation of a fakejschauma1-6/+6
package for clean-depends-list purposes. While here, also remove the no longer necessary CFLAGS after previous commit in MesaLib and also add distinfo for MesaLib for non Mesa-5.0.
2003-03-13Create fake libtool archives to fix build problems on XFree86 4.x systemtron1-1/+15
when programs are supposed to be linked with the included Mesa libraries. These changes by Johnny C. Lam fix PR pkg/20649 by myself.
2003-03-09Update Mesa and friends to version 5.0, using patches provided in PR pkg/19302.jschauma5-40/+34
At the same time, move Mesa and friends to LOCALBASE rather than X11BASE, so that they can be installed regardless of XF version. Introduce MESA_REQD variable that can be set to 5.0, thus allowing systems with XF4 to indicate that the provided version is not good enough. All packages using Mesa, MesaLib, glu or glut will get a PKGREVISION bump over the next few days.
2002-12-07Replace IGNORE with PKG_FAIL_REASON or PKG_SKIP_REASON as appropriate.schmonz1-2/+2
2002-12-06Back out update of Mesa, MesaLib, glu and glut to Mesa version 5.0,jschauma3-15/+37
until we figure out how to properly solve the conflict of XF4.x's own GL. As discussed with tron.
2002-12-06Synch PLIST with reality. Oddly, the newer version is .2.500 (which is smallerjschauma1-3/+3
than .3.4).

2002-11-20Compute version of built-in Mesa without using "glxinfo", which is brokenjlam1-9/+3
when the capabilities of the running X11 server differ from the X11 server on the system for which the package is meant. We now try to guess the Mesa version number based on which OpenGL specification is implemented. Separate out the logic into its own file, Mesa/version.mk, and use it in MesaLib's and glu's buildlink2.mk files. Note that Mesa/version.mk should only be used by the Mesa packages and is _not_ for general use.
