2013-05-31Bump all packages for perl-5.18, thatwiz1-2/+2
a) refer 'perl' in their Makefile, or b) have a directory name of p5-*, or c) have any dependency on any p5-* package Like last time, where this caused no complaints.
2013-04-06Resolves:rodent1-2/+2
"INFO_FILES should be set to YES or yes." "Packages that install info files should set INFO_FILES." Makefile and PLIST warning, respectively.
2012-10-26Add some missing prototypes and correctly tag functions as void ifjoerg13-1/+542

2012-10-03Bump all packages that use perl, or depend on a p5-* package, orwiz1-2/+2
are called p5-*. I hope that's all of them.
2012-10-02Drop superfluous PKG_DESTDIR_SUPPORT, "user-destdir" is default these days.asau1-3/+1

2006-04-05List the info files directly in the PLIST, and honor PKGINFODIR andjlam2-3/+4
PKGMANDIR.
2006-04-04* Don't use LTCONFIG_OVERRIDE and let pkgsrc automatically use thejlam4-34/+36
pkgsrc-installed libtool. Modify the configure script to grep the libtool we're using for the values of various libtool-derived variables. While here, fix the name of the variable that contains the flags to pass linker options to the compiler. * Drop the use of SUBST_FILES to directly substitute into cimcomp.c and just patch the Makefile to pass the proper flags when compilng.
2006-03-04Point MAINTAINER to pkgsrc-users@NetBSD.org in the case where nojlam1-2/+2
developer is officially maintaining the package. The rationale for changing this from "tech-pkg" to "pkgsrc-users" is that it implies that any user can try to maintain the package (by submitting patches to the mailing list). Since the folks most likely to care about the package are the folks that want to use it or are already using it, this would leverage the energy of users who aren't developers.
2005-07-16Remove some unnecessarily strong dependencies on perl that resultedjlam1-2/+2
from including perl5/buildlink3.mk. These packages just need the Perl interpreter, and can just add "perl" to USE_TOOLS instead.
2005-04-11Remove USE_BUILDLINK3 and NO_BUILDLINK; these are no longer used.tv1-2/+1

2004-10-03Libtool fix for PR pkg/26633, and other issues. Update libtool to 1.5.10tv1-1/+2
in the process. (More information on tech-pkg.) Bump PKGREVISION and BUILDLINK_DEPENDS of all packages using libtool and installing .la files. Bump PKGREVISION (only) of all packages depending directly on the above via a buildlink3 include.
2004-09-22Mechanical changes to package PLISTs to make use of LIBTOOLIZE_PLIST.jlam1-5/+1
All library names listed by *.la files no longer need to be listed in the PLIST, e.g., instead of: lib/libfoo.a lib/libfoo.la lib/libfoo.so lib/libfoo.so.0 lib/libfoo.so.0.1 one simply needs: lib/libfoo.la and bsd.pkg.mk will automatically ensure that the additional library names are listed in the installed package +CONTENTS file. Also make LIBTOOLIZE_PLIST default to "yes".
2004-08-27Replace RPATH_FLAG with LINKER_RPATH_FLAG and COMPILER_RPATH_FLAG,jlam1-2/+2
which are the full option names used to set rpath directives for the linker and the compiler, respectively. In places were we are invoking the linker, use "${LINKER_RPATH_FLAG} <path>", where the space is inserted in case the flag is a word, e.g. -rpath. The default values of *_RPATH_FLAG are set by the compiler/*.mk files, depending on the compiler that you use. They may be overridden on a ${OPSYS}-specific basis by setting _OPSYS_LINKER_RPATH_FLAG and _OPSYS_COMPILER_RPATH_FLAG, respectively. Garbage-collect _OPSYS_RPATH_NAME and _COMPILER_LD_FLAG.

2002-02-18Introduce new framework for handling info files generation and installation.seb2-4/+5
Summary of changes: - removal of USE_GTEXINFO - addition of mk/texinfo.mk - inclusion of this file in package Makefiles requiring it - `install-info' substituted by `${INSTALL_INFO}' in PLISTs - tuning of mk/bsd.pkg.mk: removal of USE_GTEXINFO INSTALL_INFO added to PLIST_SUBST `${INSTALL_INFO}' replace `install-info' in target rules print-PLIST target now generate `${INSTALL_INFO}' instead of `install-info' - a couple of new patch files added for a handful of packages - setting of the TEXINFO_OVERRIDE "switch" in packages Makefiles requiring it - devel/cssc marked requiring texinfo 4.0 - a couple of packages Makefiles were tuned with respect of INFO_FILES and makeinfo command usage See -newly added by this commit- section 10.24 of Packages.txt for further information.

2001-01-04The way that shared objects were handled in the PLISTs and bsd.pkg.mk wasagc1-1/+3
out of date - it was based on a.out OBJECT_FMT, and added entries in the generated PLISTs to reflect the symlinks that ELF packages uses. It also tried to be clever, and removed and recreated any symbolic links that were created, which has resulted in some fun, especially with packages which use dlopen(3) to load modules. Some recent changes to our ld.so to bring it more into line with other Operating Systems also exposed some cracks. + Modify bsd.pkg.mk and its shared object handling, so that PLISTs now contain the ELF symlinks. + Don't mess about with file system entries when handling shared objects in bsd.pkg.mk, since it's likely that libtool and the BSD *.mk processing will have got it right, and have a much better idea than we do. + Modify PLISTs to contain "ELF symlinks" + On a.out platforms, delete any "ELF symlinks" from the generated PLISTs + On ELF platforms, no extra processing needs to be done in bsd.pkg.mk + Modify print-PLIST target in bsd.pkg.mk to add dummy symlink entries on a.out platforms + Update the documentation in Packages.txt With many thanks to Thomas Klausner for keeping me honest with this.
