2006-06-17Fixed path to the Python interpreter. Bumped PKGREVISION.rillig1-2/+10
2006-04-13Strip of anything after the version number in distutils.util.get_platformjoerg3-3/+17
on DragonFly. Since that version is used e.g. as part of the file name for python eggs, it makes handling easier to match normal pkgsrc platform policy. Bump revisions of all Python packages.
2006-04-12Aligned the last line of the buildlink3.mk files with the first line, sorillig1-2/+2
that they look nicer.
2006-04-06Over 1200 files touched but no revisions bumped :)reed1-2/+2
RECOMMENDED is removed. It becomes ABI_DEPENDS. BUILDLINK_RECOMMENDED.foo becomes BUILDLINK_ABI_DEPENDS.foo. BUILDLINK_DEPENDS.foo becomes BUILDLINK_API_DEPENDS.foo. BUILDLINK_DEPENDS does not change. IGNORE_RECOMMENDED (which defaulted to "no") becomes USE_ABI_DEPENDS which defaults to "yes". Added to obsolete.mk checking for IGNORE_RECOMMENDED. I did not manually go through and fix any aesthetic tab/spacing issues. I have tested the above patch on DragonFly building and packaging subversion and pkglint and their many dependencies. I have also tested USE_ABI_DEPENDS=no on my NetBSD workstation (where I have used IGNORE_RECOMMENDED for a long time). I have been an active user of IGNORE_RECOMMENDED since it was available. As suggested, I removed the documentation sentences suggesting bumping for "security" issues. As discussed on tech-pkg. I will commit to revbump, pkglint, pkg_install, createbuildlink separately. Note that if you use wip, it will fail! I will commit to pkgsrc-wip later (within day).
2006-03-04Point MAINTAINER to pkgsrc-users@NetBSD.org in the case where nojlam1-2/+2
developer is officially maintaining the package. The rationale for changing this from "tech-pkg" to "pkgsrc-users" is that it implies that any user can try to maintain the package (by submitting patches to the mailing list). Since the folks most likely to care about the package are the folks that want to use it or are already using it, this would leverage the energy of users who aren't developers.
2006-01-09Add DragonFly support. While here, add netbsd4 for future joy.joerg7-22/+114
Use PTHREAD_* instead of hardcoded -lpthread.
2005-12-05Fixed pkglint warnings. The warnings are mostly quoting issues, forrillig1-4/+4
example MAKE_ENV+=FOO=${BAR} is changed to MAKE_ENV+=FOO=${BAR:Q}. Some other changes are outlined in http://mail-index.netbsd.org/tech-pkg/2005/12/02/0034.html
2005-11-16Fix Python's makesetup script to treat -pthread as linker flag.joerg3-3/+16
This is needed for databases/py-psycopg at least to compile properly. Since the installed version changed, bump revision.
2005-11-14When linking against libpython, the dependencies of libpython might bejoerg1-1/+4
needed as well. This is especially the case when lib/pythonXconfig/Makefile is used as done e.g. www/ap2-python.
2005-10-01Add a patch for CAN-2005-2491 (buffer overflow vulnerability in the PCRErecht5-3/+106
library) from ubuntu Linux (via gentoo). For details see: http://cve.mitre.org/cgi-bin/cvename.cgi?name=CAN-2005-2491
2005-07-29make the fcntl selftest recognize "netbsd3" so that the rightdrochner2-4/+4
structure padding is used not application relevant, so I abstain from bumping PKGREVISION
2005-04-11Remove USE_BUILDLINK3 and NO_BUILDLINK; these are no longer used.tv1-2/+1
2005-02-24Add RMD160 digestsagc1-1/+2
2005-02-04apply the security fix fromdrochner3-3/+74
http://www.python.org/security/PSF-2005-001/ This disables hierarchical object lookups in SimpleXMLRPCServer. Unfortunately, this breaks some applications (eg kenosis). Don't shoot me for this. bump PKGREVISION
2005-01-30Convert the python packages to use the alternatives system to install ajmmv2-2/+5
bin/python wrapper. Bump their PKGREVISION to 1. Also remove the python package. In order to preserve a similar behavior to this one using the new framework, start by installing pkg_alternatives. Then just open its manpage, scroll down to the EXAMPLES section, Applying filters subsection, and follow the (rather short) directions given there.
2005-01-25Add PLIST for Interix, and move a couple more now-platform-dependenttv8-11/+21
modules into the other PLIST fragments.
2005-01-24Backport first-stab Interix support from lang/python23.tv2-1/+32
2005-01-23Build Python with thread support by default and turn the existingrecht2-55/+54
python*-pth packages into meta-packages which will install the non-pth packages. Bump PKGREVISIONs on the non-pth versions to propagate the thread change, but leave the *-pth versions untouched to not affect existing installations. Sync all PYTHON_VERSIONS_AFFECTED lines in package Makefiles.

2004-08-29Extend some checks to also test for netbsd2 as sys.platform.recht4-8/+47

2004-02-10The BUILDLINK_DEPENDS.<pkg> lines should match between the buildlink3.mkjlam1-2/+2
and any pre-existing buildlink2.mk files.

2004-01-25* Follow the new buildlink3 standard and append to BUILDLINK_DEPENDS.<pkg>.jlam1-14/+9
* Use BUILDLINK_{INCDIRS,LIBDIRS}.<pkg> instead of using BUILDLINK_{CPPFLAGS,LDFLAGS}.<pkg> since we're just dealing with adding directories to the various search paths.

2003-06-06update Python22 to 2.2.3drochner6-26/+97
This is a bugfix release. Also, use the LINK_ALL_LIBGCC_HACK just introduced to link the interpreter against libgcc. This should fix PR pkg/16144 in the Python2.2 (and NetBSD-1.5) case.
2003-06-02Use tech-pkg@ in favor of packages@ as MAINTAINER for orphaned packages.jschauma1-2/+2

2003-03-14(1) Publicly export the value of _OPSYS_RPATH_NAME as RPATH_FLAG;jlam1-2/+3
Makefiles simply need to use this value often, for better or for worse. (2) Create a new variable FIX_RPATH that lists variables that should be cleansed of -R or -rpath values if ${_USE_RPATH} is "no". By default, FIX_RPATH contains LIBS, X11_LDFLAGS, and LDFLAGS, and additional variables may be appended from package Makefiles.
2003-02-06revert previous, adding some commentsdrochner1-2/+7
Before using native pthreads per default, we should make sure it is at least stable enough for the Python selftests and pkgsrc applications. (in response to PR pkg/20214)
2003-01-20don't disable threads on NetBSD if native threads are availablejdolecek1-2/+2
XXX only python22 pkg is changed this way, since this is the only XXX one having special case for NetBSD; python15, python20, python21 disable XXX threads on all pkgsrc operating systems
