2009-06-14Remove @dirrm entries from PLISTsjoerg1-23/+1
2009-03-20Simply and speed up buildlink3.mk files and processing.joerg1-13/+6
This changes the buildlink3.mk files to use an include guard for the recursive include. The use of BUILDLINK_DEPTH, BUILDLINK_DEPENDS, BUILDLINK_PACKAGES and BUILDLINK_ORDER is handled by a single new variable BUILDLINK_TREE. Each buildlink3.mk file adds a pair of enter/exit marker, which can be used to reconstruct the tree and to determine first level includes. Avoiding := for large variables (BUILDLINK_ORDER) speeds up parse time as += has linear complexity. The include guard reduces system time by avoiding reading files over and over again. For complex packages this reduces both %user and %sys time to half of the former time.
2008-10-03Fix pax invocation.joerg2-4/+4
2008-08-19Use pax instead of requiring GNU tar.joerg6-26/+45
DESTDIR support Fix unbalanced ' in configure.
2007-01-07Mechanically replaced man/* with ${PKGMANDIR}/* in the definition ofrillig1-3/+3
INSTALLATION_DIRS, as well as all occurrences of ${PREFIX}/man with ${PREFIX}/${PKGMANDIR}. Fixes PR 35265, although I did not use the patch provided therein.
2006-11-10Use find -print | xargs rather than find -exec.tv1-3/+3
2006-07-08Change the format of BUILDLINK_ORDER to contain depth information as well,jlam1-2/+2
and add a new helper target and script, "show-buildlink3", that outputs a listing of the buildlink3.mk files included as well as the depth at which they are included. For example, "make show-buildlink3" in fonts/Xft2 displays: zlib fontconfig iconv zlib freetype2 expat freetype2 Xrender renderproto
2006-07-08Track information in a new variable BUILDLINK_ORDER that informs usjlam1-1/+2
of the order in which buildlink3.mk files are (recursively) included by a package Makefile.
2006-04-12Aligned the last line of the buildlink3.mk files with the first line, sorillig1-2/+2
that they look nicer.
2006-04-06Over 1200 files touched but no revisions bumped :)reed2-5/+5
RECOMMENDED is removed. It becomes ABI_DEPENDS. BUILDLINK_RECOMMENDED.foo becomes BUILDLINK_ABI_DEPENDS.foo. BUILDLINK_DEPENDS.foo becomes BUILDLINK_API_DEPENDS.foo. BUILDLINK_DEPENDS does not change. IGNORE_RECOMMENDED (which defaulted to "no") becomes USE_ABI_DEPENDS which defaults to "yes". Added to obsolete.mk checking for IGNORE_RECOMMENDED. I did not manually go through and fix any aesthetic tab/spacing issues. I have tested the above patch on DragonFly building and packaging subversion and pkglint and their many dependencies. I have also tested USE_ABI_DEPENDS=no on my NetBSD workstation (where I have used IGNORE_RECOMMENDED for a long time). I have been an active user of IGNORE_RECOMMENDED since it was available. As suggested, I removed the documentation sentences suggesting bumping for "security" issues. As discussed on tech-pkg. I will commit to revbump, pkglint, pkg_install, createbuildlink separately. Note that if you use wip, it will fail! I will commit to pkgsrc-wip later (within day).
2006-02-26lang/tcl's WRKSRC changed, follow up to unbreak build (hi adam!).joerg1-2/+2
2006-02-05Recursive revision bump / recommended bump for gettext ABI change.joerg2-3/+4
2006-01-11Even more less matherr for DragonFly.joerg3-1/+33
2006-01-11Access TCL source much more correctly and working for configurationsjoerg1-4/+8
with CREATE_WRKDIR_SYMLINK=no. Based on jlam's idea for math/p5-Math-Pari.
2006-01-11No matherr on DragonFly.joerg3-1/+33
2005-12-05Fixed pkglint warnings. The warnings are mostly quoting issues, forrillig1-6/+6
example MAKE_ENV+=FOO=${BAR} is changed to MAKE_ENV+=FOO=${BAR:Q}. Some other changes are outlined in http://mail-index.netbsd.org/tech-pkg/2005/12/02/0034.html
2005-05-16Note that gtar is required by the package.jlam1-1/+2
2005-04-11Remove USE_BUILDLINK3 and NO_BUILDLINK; these are no longer used.tv1-2/+1
2005-02-24Add RMD160 digestsagc1-1/+2
2005-01-13Use TCL_VERSION instead of hardcoding the Tcl version number.minskim1-2/+4
2005-01-08Sync with the recent tcl/tk update.minskim1-2/+2
2005-01-02Use PKGDIRMODE and DOCMODE instead of 555 and 444, respectively.minskim1-4/+4
Bump PKGREVISION because the default value of PKGDIRMODE is 755, which is different from 555.
2004-11-26Make tcl-tclX and tk-tclX build with tcl-8.4.8 and tk-8.4.8.minskim1-2/+2
2004-11-04Make this package build with tcl>=8.4.7.minskim1-3/+3
2004-10-07* Make PKGSRC_TOPDIR a private variable by renaming it to _PKGSRC_TOPDIR,jlam1-2/+4
as it's only used internally by bsd.prefs.mk. * Make _PKGSRCDIR a public variable by renaming it to PKGSRCDIR. Also, generate its value from ${_PKGSRC_TOPDIR} so it's less fragile than the old method of stripping off the last two components of ${.CURDIR}. PKGSRCDIR may now be used after bsd.prefs.mk is defined. * Change all references to _PKGSRCDIR to PKGSRCDIR.
2004-10-03Libtool fix for PR pkg/26633, and other issues. Update libtool to 1.5.10tv1-1/+2
in the process. (More information on tech-pkg.) Bump PKGREVISION and BUILDLINK_DEPENDS of all packages using libtool and installing .la files. Bump PKGREVISION (only) of all packages depending directly on the above via a buildlink3 include.
2004-09-22Mechanical changes to package PLISTs to make use of LIBTOOLIZE_PLIST.jlam1-5/+1
All library names listed by *.la files no longer need to be listed in the PLIST, e.g., instead of: lib/libfoo.a lib/libfoo.la lib/libfoo.so lib/libfoo.so.0 lib/libfoo.so.0.1 one simply needs: lib/libfoo.la and bsd.pkg.mk will automatically ensure that the additional library names are listed in the installed package +CONTENTS file. Also make LIBTOOLIZE_PLIST default to "yes".
2004-05-23Use option "-r" instead of "-e" for the '[' command since this is notheinz1-2/+2
portable to some operating systems (eg UnixWare or IRIX 5).
2004-05-16Remove dots in library names on all platforms to match with PLISTminskim2-3/+25
entries.
2004-05-13- Update {tcl,tk}-tclX to 8.3.5.minskim10-332/+360
- Bl3ify. - Enable pkgviews installation. OK'ed by jwise@, the maintainer. Changes since 8.2: * got "make buildhelp" working * tcl/generic/tclXgeneral.c (TclX_EchoObjCmd): use encoding aware functions in 8.1+. [Bug #514053] * win/Makefile.in: * win/configure.in: * win/configure: Changed to use TCL_LIBS and TK_LIBS as the source for the list of Windows libraries to link against. Fixes #501990. * tcl/generic/tclXlib.c (MakeAbsFile): Replaced a call to the internal 'TclpGetCwd' with an access to the public API 'Tcl_GetCwd'. [457266]. Reported by Vincent Darley. * doc/TclX.n: * tcl/generic/tclXoscmds.c: allowed sleep to accept double values, to match the Expect sleep command. This prevents conflicts that depended on the order of package requires. [Patch #444332] * unix/tools/tclmanpages: Added "re_syntax.n" to the list of processed manpages [#405956]. * All of the changes below are there to fix bug [418295]. * tcl/generic/tclXoscmds.c (TclX_OsCmdsInit): "system" and "sleep" now use the new command creation procedure. * tcl/generic/tclXprocess.c (TclX_ProcessInit): "fork" and "wait" now use the new command creation procedure. * tcl/generic/tclXutil.c (TclX_CreateObjCommand): Added the implementation of this new procedure. * tcl/generic/tclExtdInt.h: Added TclX_CreateObjCommand to encapsulate the logic for the creation of commands FOO and tclx_FOO. * tcl/generic/tclXlist.c (TclX_LassignObjCmd): Added TCL_LEAVE_ERR_MSG to call of 'Tcl_SetVar2Ex'. This fixes the bug [227478]. * tcl/generic/tclXgeneral.c (TclX_LoopObjCmd): Changed 'Tcl_AppendStringsToObj' into 'Tcl_AddErrorInfo'. Fixes bug [226388]. Associated patch is [403050]. No need to extend the testsuite, it already contained a test exercising the bug. * tcl/unix/Makefile.in: * tk/unix/Makefile.in: Fixed bogus "test -f" on the new HELP_DIR directory, which should be "test -d". * win/Makefile.in - fixed because of new definition of TCL_SRC_DIR and TK_SRC_DIR * Changed the HELP_DIR to be configurable so I could have parallel builds not all trying to create the same help files. * tcl/win/configure.in, common.bc, common.vc Fixed version number to 8.3 * {tcl,tk}/unix/Makefile.in, tweaks to get references to LIB_RUNTIME_DIR properly expanded on irix builds. Also added BUILDHELP macro that is conditional on nroff being present so we don't try to build help files on systems with out nroff. * tcl/win/tclXAppInit.c, tk/generic/tkXshell.c, tk/win/tkXAppInit.c - turn off USE_TCL_STUBS * win/Makefile.in, win/configure.in: Cleanup use of stubs library. * tcl/win/tclXwinOS.c (TclXOSkill): Added support for "kill" command on Windows platforms.

2001-12-23Update the path to the source code of the new version of Tcl.bjoern1-4/+4
2001-12-15Modify all references to PKGSRCDIR to _PKGSRCDIR, except in the externalagc1-3/+3
references of the pkglint package. _PKGSRCDIR is an internal definition in bsd.pkg.mk, and a few packages which would like to refer to other packages in the build tree. It should not be set by users, but neither should it stop a user from building a package if it is defined, so make it obvious that this is the case.

2001-09-27Mechanical changes to 375 files to change dependency patterns of the formjlam1-2/+2
foo-* to foo-[0-9]*. This is to cause the dependencies to match only the packages whose base package name is "foo", and not those named "foo-bar". A concrete example is p5-Net-* matching p5-Net-DNS as well as p5-Net. Also change dependency examples in Packages.txt to reflect this.
2001-04-27Do previous changes to make the source for tcl available differently andskrll4-19/+25
hopefully in a cleaner way. Do the same for the tk sources for tk-tclX Both should now build. {tcl,tk}-tclX/Makefile have an awful lot in common so someone might like to split a lot of it out.
2001-04-26Make this build by providing the tcl sources at build time and explicitlyskrll4-13/+35
setting the directory that the sources are in. Taking the source directory from tclConfig.sh is not guaranteed to work.

2001-01-04The way that shared objects were handled in the PLISTs and bsd.pkg.mk wasagc1-1/+3
out of date - it was based on a.out OBJECT_FMT, and added entries in the generated PLISTs to reflect the symlinks that ELF packages uses. It also tried to be clever, and removed and recreated any symbolic links that were created, which has resulted in some fun, especially with packages which use dlopen(3) to load modules. Some recent changes to our ld.so to bring it more into line with other Operating Systems also exposed some cracks. + Modify bsd.pkg.mk and its shared object handling, so that PLISTs now contain the ELF symlinks. + Don't mess about with file system entries when handling shared objects in bsd.pkg.mk, since it's likely that libtool and the BSD *.mk processing will have got it right, and have a much better idea than we do. + Modify PLISTs to contain "ELF symlinks" + On a.out platforms, delete any "ELF symlinks" from the generated PLISTs + On ELF platforms, no extra processing needs to be done in bsd.pkg.mk + Modify print-PLIST target in bsd.pkg.mk to add dummy symlink entries on a.out platforms + Update the documentation in Packages.txt With many thanks to Thomas Klausner for keeping me honest with this.
