2006-03-14Modify the pkginstall framework so that it manages all aspects ofjlam1-4/+1
INSTALL/DEINSTALL script creation within pkgsrc. If an INSTALL or DEINSTALL script is found in the package directory, it is automatically used as a template for the pkginstall-generated scripts. If instead, they should be used simply as the full scripts, then the package Makefile should set INSTALL_SRC or DEINSTALL_SRC explicitly, e.g.: INSTALL_SRC= ${PKGDIR}/INSTALL DEINSTALL_SRC= # emtpy As part of the restructuring of the pkginstall framework internals, we now *always* generate temporary INSTALL or DEINSTALL scripts. By comparing these temporary scripts with minimal INSTALL/DEINSTALL scripts formed from only the base templates, we determine whether or not the INSTALL/DEINSTALL scripts are actually needed by the package (see the generate-install-scripts target in bsd.pkginstall.mk). In addition, more variables in the framework have been made private. The *_EXTRA_TMPL variables have been renamed to *_TEMPLATE, which are more sensible names given the very few exported variables in this framework. The only public variables relating to the templates are: INSTALL_SRC INSTALL_TEMPLATE DEINSTALL_SRC DEINSTALL_TEMPLATE HEADER_TEMPLATE The packages in pkgsrc have been modified to reflect the changes in the pkginstall framework.

2005-12-15Update arla to 0.41. The update is necessary to support NetBSD-2.1wennmach1-8/+10
and NetBSD-3.0 and should fix the broken bulk build. Tested on NetBSD-2.0.2/i386 and NetBSD-2.1/i386.
2005-12-05Ran "pkglint --autofix", which corrected some of the quoting issues inrillig1-3/+3
CONFIGURE_ARGS.
2005-12-05Fixed pkglint warnings. The warnings are mostly quoting issues, forrillig1-4/+4
example MAKE_ENV+=FOO=${BAR} is changed to MAKE_ENV+=FOO=${BAR:Q}. Some other changes are outlined in http://mail-index.netbsd.org/tech-pkg/2005/12/02/0034.html
2005-06-01Massive cleanup of buildlink3.mk and builtin.mk files in pkgsrc.jlam1-2/+3
Several changes are involved since they are all interrelated. These changes affect about 1000 files. The first major change is rewriting bsd.builtin.mk as well as all of the builtin.mk files to follow the new example in bsd.builtin.mk. The loop to include all of the builtin.mk files needed by the package is moved from bsd.builtin.mk and into bsd.buildlink3.mk. bsd.builtin.mk is now included by each of the individual builtin.mk files and provides some common logic for all of the builtin.mk files. Currently, this includes the computation for whether the native or pkgsrc version of the package is preferred. This causes USE_BUILTIN.* to be correctly set when one builtin.mk file includes another. The second major change is teach the builtin.mk files to consider files under ${LOCALBASE} to be from pkgsrc-controlled packages. Most of the builtin.mk files test for the presence of built-in software by checking for the existence of certain files, e.g. <pthread.h>, and we now assume that if that file is under ${LOCALBASE}, then it must be from pkgsrc. This modification is a nod toward LOCALBASE=/usr. The exceptions to this new check are the X11 distribution packages, which are handled specially as noted below. The third major change is providing builtin.mk and version.mk files for each of the X11 distribution packages in pkgsrc. The builtin.mk file can detect whether the native X11 distribution is the same as the one provided by pkgsrc, and the version.mk file computes the version of the X11 distribution package, whether it's built-in or not. The fourth major change is that the buildlink3.mk files for X11 packages that install parts which are part of X11 distribution packages, e.g. Xpm, Xcursor, etc., now use imake to query the X11 distribution for whether the software is already provided by the X11 distribution. This is more accurate than grepping for a symbol name in the imake config files. Using imake required sprinkling various builtin-imake.mk helper files into pkgsrc directories. These files are used as input to imake since imake can't use stdin for that purpose. The fifth major change is in how packages note that they use X11. Instead of setting USE_X11, package Makefiles should now include x11.buildlink3.mk instead. This causes the X11 package buildlink3 and builtin logic to be executed at the correct place for buildlink3.mk and builtin.mk files that previously set USE_X11, and fixes packages that relied on buildlink3.mk files to implicitly note that X11 is needed. Package buildlink3.mk should also include x11.buildlink3.mk when linking against the package libraries requires also linking against the X11 libraries. Where it was obvious, redundant inclusions of x11.buildlink3.mk have been removed.
2005-04-11Remove USE_BUILDLINK3 and NO_BUILDLINK; these are no longer used.tv1-2/+1

- LP64 and other portability issues - Find the correct <kafs.h> in order to get the right prototype for kafs_settoken_rxkad. - Find the correct <com_err.h> - Add support for -DMULTIPROCESSOR and other kernel compile options Bump PKGREVISION.
2005-03-15Update arla to 0.38. The update is necessary to support NetBSD-2.0.wennmach1-21/+9
The update during the pkgsrc freeze has been approved by <wiz>. Two patches have been provided by <christos>. Tested on NetBSD-1.6.1/i386 and NetBSD-2.0/i386. Closes PR pkg/20906.
2004-12-28The default location of the pkgsrc-installed rc.d scripts is nowreed1-3/+2
under share/examples/rc.d. The variable name already was named RCD_SCRIPTS_EXAMPLEDIR. This is from ideas from Greg Woods and others. Also bumped PKGREVISION for all packages using RCD_SCRIPTS mechanism (as requested by wiz).
2004-10-03Libtool fix for PR pkg/26633, and other issues. Update libtool to 1.5.10tv1-1/+2
in the process. (More information on tech-pkg.) Bump PKGREVISION and BUILDLINK_DEPENDS of all packages using libtool and installing .la files. Bump PKGREVISION (only) of all packages depending directly on the above via a buildlink3 include.

2003-08-30Add definitions for DEINSTALL_EXTRA_TMPL and INSTALL_EXTRA_TMPL ifjlam1-2/+5
USE_PKGINSTALL is "YES". bsd.pkg.install.mk will no longer automatically pick up a INSTALL/DEINSTALL script in the package directory and assume that you want it for the corresponding *_EXTRA_TMPL variable.

2003-08-07The INSTALL and DEINSTALL script were overlooked during the conversionseb1-1/+4
to USE_NEW_TEXINFO. So list them back in {DE,}INSTALL_EXTRA_TMPL.

2003-03-05Update arla to 0.35.12.wennmach1-3/+3
Not many changes, the most important one being a fix in the directory handling. themis has been removed, and is separately distributed now.
2003-01-28Instead of including bsd.pkg.install.mk directly in a package Makefile,jlam1-5/+5
have it be automatically included by bsd.pkg.mk if USE_PKGINSTALL is set to "YES". This enforces the requirement that bsd.pkg.install.mk be included at the end of a package Makefile. Idea suggested by Julio M. Merino Vidal <jmmv at menta.net>.
2003-01-14Update arla to 0.35.12pre1.wennmach1-4/+4
Prior versions had two major bugs that could lead to kernel panics on NetBSD-1.6 and -current. mmap(2)ing a file residing beneath /afs would trigger the panic. Thanks to Love <lha@stacken.kth.se> for preparing the snapshot.

2002-09-23Fix a problem with VOP_PUTPAGES on NetBSD-1.6 (via patch fromwennmach1-1/+2
Love <lha@netbsd.org>). Also, don't try to remove the top-level "lkm" directory on pkg_delete.
2002-08-20Upgrade arla to 0.35.9wennmach1-2/+2
Fixes two security holes: 'xdr'-bug (in vos, not in arlad), and xfs failes to check for negative numbers in pioctl. Additional changes: NetBSD/sparc64 now supported, 'themis' added, local locking, bug fixes. See http://www.stacken.kth.se/lists/arla-drinkers/2002-08/msg00019.html
2002-08-07Merge arlad and arlad.sh scripts into one, following pkgsrc conventionjlam1-3/+1
for rc.d scripts.
2002-07-12Update to 0.35.8, fixes pkg/17574.wiz1-2/+2
Relevant changes: * --fake-stat support, fakes mode/stat information. Very useful on MacOS X finder that uses this. * Bug fixes Also, sort PLIST, and standardize MESSAGE slightly.
2002-04-05Update arla to 0.35.7wennmach1-7/+22
This new version fixes some (unnamed, sorry) bugs. The main rationale for the upgrade is to get rid of the dependency on kth-krb4 for NetBSD>=1.5 systems. For older systems, we provide full functionality via (a now buildlinked) kth-krb4.
2002-02-18Introduce new framework for handling info files generation and installation.seb1-1/+2
Summary of changes: - removal of USE_GTEXINFO - addition of mk/texinfo.mk - inclusion of this file in package Makefiles requiring it - `install-info' substituted by `${INSTALL_INFO}' in PLISTs - tuning of mk/bsd.pkg.mk: removal of USE_GTEXINFO INSTALL_INFO added to PLIST_SUBST `${INSTALL_INFO}' replace `install-info' in target rules print-PLIST target now generate `${INSTALL_INFO}' instead of `install-info' - a couple of new patch files added for a handful of packages - setting of the TEXINFO_OVERRIDE "switch" in packages Makefiles requiring it - devel/cssc marked requiring texinfo 4.0 - a couple of packages Makefiles were tuned with respect of INFO_FILES and makeinfo command usage See -newly added by this commit- section 10.24 of Packages.txt for further information.

2001-09-27Mechanical changes to 375 files to change dependency patterns of the formjlam1-2/+2
foo-* to foo-[0-9]*. This is to cause the dependencies to match only the packages whose base package name is "foo", and not those named "foo-bar". A concrete example is p5-Net-* matching p5-Net-DNS as well as p5-Net. Also change dependency examples in Packages.txt to reflect this.
2001-08-09Upgrade arla to 0.35.5wennmach1-45/+7
Most important changes: o added user-land programs: kalog, aklog, arla-cli o improved user-land programs: vos, bos, pts, etc. o added man pages o security fix (in rx) o and tons of bug fixes I included a start script to be placed under /etc/rc.d.
