file system type in which a given file lives. This is just a hack to
work-around a somewhat serious portability problem in the configure script
and the code, which is currently so clumsy that it is difficult to fix it
properly through patches.
This solves, among other possible problems, the generation of image previews
in Nautilus because gnome-vfs thought the files were not local (as it could
not determine where they lived).

XFS combines advanced journaling technology with full 64-bit
addressing and scalable structures and algorithms.
+ Journaled 64-bit filesystem with guaranteed filesystem consistency.
+ XFS supports filesystem growth for mounted volumes, allows
filesystem "freeze" and "thaw" operations to support volume level
snapshots, and provides an online file defragmentation utility.
+ XFS supports user and group quotas. XFS considers quota information
as filesystem metadata and uses journaling to avoid the need for
lengthy quota consistency checks after a crash.
+ For Linux 2.6 and beyond, when using 64 bit addressing in the block
devices layer (CONFIG_LBD) and a 64 bit platform, filesystem size
limit increases to 9 million terabytes (or the device limits). For
these later kernels on 32 bit platforms, 16TB is the current limit
even with 64 bit addressing enabled in the block layer.
This package contains filesystem manipulation and support programs.
Very loosely based on the FreeBSD port (I took the MASTER_SITES from there).

0.5.14-rc1:
lots of bug fixes for *bds, solaris and -tada- OSX!
Quite some stuff should now work better on freebsd, openbsd and
solaris since Takeshi Nakamura provided some patches. Also
incorporated the fix the netbsd folks did when they incorporated
0.5.13 into their ports collection. AND it seems that OSX now
works (besides fink, which provided vobcopy for quite some time
already). What is needed is dlcompat IIRC. Thanks to all for their help!
0.5.14-test1:
changed dvd name getting function to what Jim Hatfield found works
for freebsd
Davide has a dvd which has names like this:
VTS_01_2.VOB;?
A new routine tries to remove the ;?.
On OSX, getopt.h doesn't get found. /usr/include/getopt.h should do it

Change most pkgs to depend on either
emulators/suse_linux/Makefile.application (normal pkgs) or
Makefile.common (suse91 and suse themselves) to filter out Operating
Systems without Linux ABI support. Use CPU masks to limit the pkg to
supported platforms.

ossdvd specific changes:
* Mon Nov 28 2005 - Release of a GPL compliant 2.01.01a03-ossdvd
patch. The patch is for cdrtools-2.01.01a03.tar.bz2 and is adjusted
to work with linux kernel 2.6.12 or higher and can be compiled with
gcc-4.0.x. It also solves this bug : "cdrecord: Cannot get disk type."
* Mon Nov 28 2005 - Release of a adjusted GPL compliant patch,
called 2.01.01a01-2ossdvd. The patch is for
cdrtools-2.01.01a01.tar.bz2 and is adjusted to work with linux
kernel 2.6.12 or higher and can be compiled with gcc-4.0.x. It
also solves this bug : "cdrecord: Cannot get disk type."
* Tue Oct 25 2005 - a patch that fixes speed display when burning
DVDs. The first is quite obvious - I cannot understand why nobody
has done this fix. The second provides additional speed info because
the speed values in cdrecord are stored in integer variable which
truncates a speed, say, of 2.4 to 2.0. The patch is called
cdrtools-2.01.01a01-DVD-speed.patch.bz2 and should be applied
right after cdrtools-2.01.01a01-ossdvd.patch.bz2
- John Witford
Excerpt of cdrtools changes:
All:
- Support for 'make DESTDIR=xxx install' added
- Better configure tests for procfs include files
- libunls reworked
Cdrecord:
- Allow the -shorttrack option for RAW mode, thanks to a report
from Sebastian Trueg
- Enhance the minimal grace time from 2 to 3 seconds to make sure
that cdrecord will not get out of sync with locks from the
Volume management system.
- Better checks and better error messages for /etc/default/cdrecord
- Correct verbose print mode for old pre-MMC TEAC drives.
- Added support for Ultra speed+ CD-RW media recognition and a check
whether the drive supports Ultra speed+ CD-RW media.
(Thanks to Alexander Noé).
Mkisofs (By Jörg Schilling and James Pearson j.pearson@ge.ucl.ac.uk):
- Better error messages with wrong Eltorito boot options
- Man page is now more explicit about requirements for DVD-video
directory trees.
- Better warning text for missing Rock Ridge in multi.c
- Bugs in README.sunx86boot corrected
- Multi Volume code for reading old image now gives different
error messages on read errors and short reads.
- Diagnostic programs isodump, isoinfo, ... no longer dump core
when called with dev=<SCSI addr> parameters.

CLEX (pronounced KLEKS) is a file manager with a full-screen user
interface. It displays directory contents including the file status
details and provides features like command history, filename
insertion, or name completion in order to help users to create
commands to be executed by the shell.
CLEX is a versatile tool for system administrators and all users that
utilize the enormous power of the command line. Its unique one-panel
user interface enhances productivity and lessens the probability of
mistake. There are no built-in commands, CLEX is an add-on to your
favorite shell.

Detox is a utility designed to clean up filenames. It replaces
difficult to work with characters, such as spaces, with standard
equivalents. It will also clean up filenames with UTF-8 or Latin-1
(or CP-1252) characters in them.

ghostscript.mk. This change removes a rather out-dated file from
