From f16dfe1d7fd98329e277de7469cad5656f2f4876 Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: uebayasi Date: Thu, 19 Sep 2002 01:51:24 +0000 Subject: Initial import of libevent-0.6. The libevent API provides a mechanism to execute a callback function when a specific event occurs on a file descriptor or after a timeout has been reached. libevent is meant to replace the asynchronous event loop found in event driven network servers. An application just needs to call event_dispatch() and can then add or remove events dynamically without having to change the event loop. Currently, libevent supports kqueue(2) and select(2). Support for poll(2) and /dev/poll is planned. The internal event mechanism is completely independent of the exposed event API, and a simple update of libevent can provide this new functionality without having to redesign the server applications. --- devel/libevent/Makefile | 14 ++++++++++++++ 1 file changed, 14 insertions(+) create mode 100644 devel/libevent/Makefile (limited to 'devel/libevent/Makefile') diff --git a/devel/libevent/Makefile b/devel/libevent/Makefile new file mode 100644 index 00000000000..1ae17323567 --- /dev/null +++ b/devel/libevent/Makefile @@ -0,0 +1,14 @@ +# $NetBSD: Makefile,v 1.1.1.1 2002/09/19 01:51:24 uebayasi Exp $ +# + +DISTNAME= libevent-0.6 +CATEGORIES= devel +MASTER_SITES= http://monkey.org/~provos/ + +MAINTAINER= packages@netbsd.org +HOMEPAGE= http://monkey.org/~provos/libevent/ +COMMENT= asynchronous event notification library + +GNU_CONFIGURE= # defined + +.include "../../mk/bsd.pkg.mk" -- cgit v1.2.3
