Add the following line to /etc/lkm.conf:

    ${PREFIX}/lkm/xf86.o    - -  ${PREFIX}/lkm/xf86_mod_install - AFTERMOUNT

and set:

    lkm=YES

in /etc/rc.conf.  Then, reboot your system.
